Using Cabinet

Cabinet is a looking and learning experience. You may use it for personal, noncommercial purposes. Do not interfere with the service, automate excessive requests, evade access limits, or use Cabinet to violate another person's rights.

Art and writing

The paintings are public domain works shown using the reuse terms recorded for each source image. Cabinet's interface, selection, original writing, and software remain protected by their applicable rights. Source and rights information appears in each opened record.

Interpretation

Cabinet offers educational interpretation, not professional advice or an authoritative final account of a work. Art historical attribution and interpretation can change as scholarship develops. Corrections are welcome.

Availability

The service is provided as available. Features, catalogue entries, and access may change or be withdrawn. Cabinet is not responsible for interruptions caused by browsers, networks, hosting providers, or third party image sources.
